Transformed consumer perceptions of local community hospital to a regional health center by launching a new hospital name (previously Arlington Hospital), market positioning, brand identity and numerous integrated marketing campaigns.
Generated record increases in medical/surgical admissions of 20% YOY from 2004 to 2005, and adjusted admissions of 14% YOY from 2004 to 2005, 9% YOY from 2003 to 2004 and 5% YOY from 2002 to 2003 as a result of volume and product line development strategies.
Initiated and launched a 'Centers of Excellence' program to capture new growth opportunities within cardiology, oncology, neurosciences and women/infant health product lines. Increased volume for pulmonary function by 74%, gynecology by 19%, radiology and diagnostic imaging by 17% and neurosurgery by 14%.
Led the creation and execution of the organization's first physician recruitment and development plan to increase the number of active and referring medical staff by 30%.
Increased revenue for community and education programs by 69% and HealthWorks, a corporate wellness program by 93%.
Led the development of VHC's first women's and infant health business plan and the $11 million expansion to increase volume, referral base and patient satisfaction.
Increased the number of visitors to VHC's web site by 2,900% within three years.
Successfully marketed and leased 100% of the hospital's 33,000 square feet of new medical office space created during the organization's $150 million expansion.
Launched integrated radiology/diagnostic imaging and GYN surgery direct response campaigns culminating in more than 1,800 calls with a 50% conversion to referral rate and 11% overall growth in new patient cases.
Conceived and launched an Executive Health program to generate new source of revenue from affluent, self-pay clientele and corporate executives. Program achieved profitability within first year of operation.
